Annual get-together & 25th Anniversary 2022

Dear Chalmers Alumni,
Finally, after a two-year pause, we are happy to invite all Chalmers Alumni together with spouses/partners to our annual get-together and to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Continental-Europe chapter.
Join us in Brussels for three fun-filled days with fellow alumni. We will explore the European institutions and make a guided visit to the Council and its famous Europa building, learn about and test some unique Belgian beers, look at Brussels landmarks with an expert guide, delve into train history or, for those with a sweet tooth, chocolate and praline making. And celebrate the 25th anniversary of the CING local chapter Continental Europe with a gala dinner. You can find the detailed preliminary program here. It is possible to take part in all or a selection of the program.
Although the activities guarantee for an interesting weekend, the most important reason for participation is to meet members of the friendly family of Chalmers alumni, known and new – it is always easy to find new friends in this group.
Registration
This year we have set up a digital registration, similar to when you buy things online. The offer mirrors the program we have composed for the weekend. You can decide what activities you want to take part in, make your food choice for the meals, etc. Please use the link https://avancez.se/brussels-registration for your registration. You will get a confirmation of your “order” with details for payment. Of course, you can change or amend your order any time before August 21st.
While we haven’t planned for an official lunch on Friday, we welcome early arrivals to meet up for lunch at the Radisson Collection Hotel before we leave for visiting the European Council.
What to do next?
After you have “placed your order” you should book your travel and your hotel. We have made a block reservation at the Radisson Collection Hotel close to Grand-Place. Other hotels can be found within walking distance, such as Hotel ibis Brussels off Grand-Place. Please see below for hotel information. Note: We have blocked a number of rooms (single/double). The allocation will be released 30 days prior to the event.
Note: You are responsible for your travel and booking of the hotel; we have simply negotiated room-rates. Of course, you are free to select any other hotel you might prefer.

Käre Chalmersalumn,
Äntligen, efter två års uppehåll, är vi glada att bjuda in alla Chalmersalumner tillsammans med partners till vår höstträff och firandet at CING-Kontinentaleuropas 25-årsjubileum. Det hela går av stapeln i Bryssel från fredag 30 september till söndag 2 oktober.
Det blir tre roliga dagar tillsammans med Chalmersalumner. Det preliminära programmet hittar du här. Du kan så klart vara med på hela eller delar av programmet.
Aktiviteterna utlovar en givande helg, men det viktigaste skälet att komma med är att träffa medlemmar av Chalmers stora alumnifamilj. Både att lära känna nya och återse gamla vänner – det är alltid lätt att finna nya vänner i denna grupp.
Anmälan
Anmälan sker i år digitalt, ungefär som när ni handlar on-line. Använd följande länk https://avancez.se/brussels-registration när du anmäler dig. Här kan du välja vilka aktiviteter som du vill vara med på, matalternativ etc. Efter registrering får du en bekräftelse av din “beställning” med information om hur betalning sker. Det går fint att ändra i ordern fram till 21 augusti.
Det är ingen officiell lunch på programmet på fredagen, men för er som kommer tidigt finns det möjlighet att äta gemensam lunch på Radisson Collection. Skriv det i anmälan.
Nästa steg
När du bestämt dig för att deltaga, boka resa och hotell. Vi har gjort en förhandsreservation på Radisson Collection Grand Place. Andra och billigare alternativ finns på gångavstånd, t.ex. ibis Brussels off Grand-Place. Mer information om hotellen finns längre ner.
Obs: Blockreservationen av dubbel- och enkelrum på Radisson Collection hålls fram till 30 dagar före evenemanget.
Vi vill påminna om att du är själv ansvarig för din resa och hotellbokning. Vi rekommenderar endast hotell där vi förhandlat fram hyfsat förmånliga priser. Naturligtvis står det alla fritt att välja det hotell som ni föredrar.
