Professor Astrid Linder, a world's most inspiring and influential person!

Guest Speaker: Professor Astrid Linder
We are honored to host Prof. Astrid Linder, celebrated for her innovative research in traffic safety and recently listed as one of BBC’s 100 most inspiring and influential women of 2023. 

Prof. Linder holds the position of Professor of Traffic Safety at the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute (VTI) and serves as an Adjunct Professor of Injury Prevention at Chalmers University of Technology. Her academic journey includes a PhD in Traffic Safety and an MSc in Engineering Physics from Chalmers.


Her research focuses on traffic safety, the modeling of human bodies in crash testing, injury prevention, and crash-related countermeasures. Prof. Linder is particularly noted for her leadership in developing the world’s first physical dummy model based on the average female, the Seat Evaluation Tool (SET 50F), a pivotal advancement in assessing vehicle occupant safety.
