About us

Chalmers Alumni Association is a unique network and an inspiring community for Chalmerists all over the world. 

Since the start in 1907, we have been the unifying force for Chalmers alumni, and with over a century of history, we are proud to be Sweden's largest alumni association. Our Association stands for camaraderie, togetherness and networking. Rooted in tradition and with our focus on the future, we combine the best of both worlds.

Our goals are to promote common interests for our members and to create a strong link between graduates and current students at Chalmers University of Technology.

We have local chapters around the world that arrange inspiring lectures, mentoring and a variety of social activities such as various parties, golf tournaments and sometimes more locally connected events. The idea is that there should be something for everyone, no matter where you are. We have our own member magazine, Avançons, as well as a directory/list of all graduated Chalmerists, which is an invaluable resource for our members, both professionally and socially.

In addition to this, every year we award the prestigious Gustaf Dalén medal to a Chalmers Alumnus for meritorious contribution. The award is instituted by the Association in memory of the Chalmerist, inventor and Nobel Prize winner Gustaf Dalén, who inspires generations of engineers.

Chalmers Alumni Association not only offers networks and community, but also endless opportunities to grow and develop - both as an engineer and as an individual. Today we have around 13,000 members, spread all over the world.
