Dear Chalmers Alumni,
We welcome all Chalmers Alumni with partners/spouses to meet with fellow Chalmerists for a fun and stimulating weekend in beautiful Potsdam – a historic capital of Europe just next door to buzzling Berlin!
Our 26th meeting this year will take place from 29.09. to 01.10.2023 in a city where Europe comes together. Potsdam is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, surrounded by lakes and greenery, imposing castles, and enchanting gardens. When the German chancellor meets his French counterpart, he prefers to do it here rather than in Berlin. Because Potsdam has charm and, in addition to its Prussian heritage, is filled with European history. This includes the world-famous Sanssouci Palace and Gardens, the Dutch Quarter, Italian architecture and, in stark contrast, traces of the GDR. Today Potsdam blends its historic riches with universities, multiple research institutes and film production.
The full programme starts Friday with lunch in Potsdam, before we head for an industry visit in Berlin, and ends with lunch on Sunday. It is of course possible to join only parts of the programme.
Potsdam is located just west of Berlin, which gives you many travel options. It has easy access by road and is only a 20 min train journey from Berlin main station.
You can find the full invitation and a registration link on the dedicated event page.
Cheers,
The board of CING-CE Conny Sundberg, Benjamin Liebe, Alexander Gross, Johan Skoglund, Ulla Ringblom
