Välkommen till en av höstens höjdpunkter, den populärvetenskapliga William Chalmers-föreläsningen den 5 november kl. 18.00.

Minna Karstunen är professor vid avdelningen för geologi och geoteknik och leder forskargruppen Geoteknik vid Chalmers.
Minna will talk about sensitive clays, including Gothenburg clay, their formation, strange behaviour and how they form a natural hazard and a challenge for construction. With contemporary techniques involving special testing facilities and modelling, we can now start to understand these strange and very challenging materials.

Welcome to one of the highlights of the autumn, the popular science William Chalmers lecture on November 5 at 18:00.

Minna Karstunen is a professor in the department of geology and geotechnology and leads the research group Geotechnology at Chalmers.
Minna will talk about sensitive clays, including Gothenburg clay, their formation, strange behavior and how they pose a natural hazard and a challenge for construction. With contemporary techniques involving special testing facilities and modeling, we can now begin to understand these strange and very challenging materials.
